Welcome to Big Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, the "Old Landmark" and mother church of African Methodism in Atlanta, Georgia.

Where do I park?

When coming to worship at Big Bethel on Sundays there are multiple places for you to park. There is always free parking on the street on Sundays only. There is also a church owned parking lot directly behind the church on the corner of John Wesley Dobbs and Jessie Hill Drive available for Sundays, Wednesdays for Bible Study and our noon day service, and other Church Special Events.

We practice radical hospitality here at Big Bethel, and we focus on creating a culture that is welcoming, receiving, inviting, caring, and open. We welcome you with open arms.

What time are the Worship Services

Worship Services begin at 7:45am & 11:00am on Sunday Morning
Sunday School begin at 9:30am with classes for all ages.
Bible Study is on Wednesdays at 11:00am and 7:00pm, W.O.W worship service at 12:05pm.

What to expect during worship?

During Worship, you can expect a well balance of contemporary and traditional worship. We are not limited by the program and traditional worship. We are a spirit driven church. Our dynamic pastor is well prepared to minister to you and your life’s situations. At Big Bethel you are free to worship and to express your joy and love for God as the bible proclaims and the spirit desires.

Big Bethel is considered to be one of the vital urban churches in Atlanta. We are constantly seeking to minister to God's people in doing the work of the Lord. If you want to grow spiritually, looking for a church home, just moved to town, a college student, or even just visiting Atlanta, we invite you to fellowship with us.
