Trinity/Big Bethel
TRINITY/BIG BETHEL
COMMUNITY OUTREACH
Beginning in 2004, Big Bethel AME Church partnered with Trinity United Methodist Church to support a halfway house program for men with substance abuse issues. The Trinity Big Bethel (TBB) Community Outreach program began with offering a 12 to 18 month program offering full-time room and board, mentoring and training. TBB enrolls a steady-state of 35 male participants and includes volunteers who offer meals, skill training, role model support and other activities. TBB is supported by religious entities, non-profits, state and federal government agencies, foundations and the Atlanta business community.
